Duties & Responsibilities
EBS-Elegant is hiring a Section Head GL for one of our clients in KSA (for their branch in Egypt)
Responsibilities:
- Review the closing of the journal entries by scrutinizing them, reconciling any discrepancies, and amending any errors to verify the validity and accuracy of the closing entries before submitting them to the accounts manager.
- Verify the integrity of posting in sub-books and recording on the computer.
- Responsible for preparing trial balances and reconciling sub-balances and main balances.
- Review and approve the bank reconciliation memorandum after verifying the supporting documents to ensure their accuracy.
- He adheres to the accounting policies and procedures of the general ledger and directs and urges the heads of departments and accountants in the Financial Department to be aware of the contents of the company’s accounting policies and procedures and to adhere to them at all times.
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial positions.
- Completes files for general ledger accounts by checking, identifying any discrepancies, and amending them when necessary.
- Develop, direct, and evaluate the department’s employees by using the company’s systems to ensure that the department’s employees are able and motivated to perform their job duties.
- Any other new work assigned to him related to the objectives of his job by the direct manager
Requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- full knowledge of the rules and foundations of international accounting standards that must be followed in the Kingdom (KSA)
- 10 to 12 years of experience in the field of accounting, especially general ledger accounts in contracting companies and medium or large real estate companies.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and dealing with Oracle.
